Some of Neo- Confucian scholars in Choson Dynasty called their learnings as Orthodoxy. Others who are critical on main streams used to express their learnings as a practical or genuine learnings through ages. Therefore these two types include all academic debatings in the Chosun dynasty`s Neo-Confucianism. Heavenly Li in terms of Neo-Confucianism used to mean absolute normal and moral rules. It regularizes all human being`s behaviors and all human beings have to obey them. If and only if human beings made comprehensive harmony with the Tao of Heaven and Earth, they could get high level dignity as well as Heaven and Earth. Neo-Confucian scholars believe that eliminating their private and physical needs and conserving their native good will and conscience is the cardinal point of Confucian studies. Some scholars have such a belief that although State could be perish, Tao should be conservered in any severe situation. Critical group insist that the first goal of learnings is to solve the problems of people`s ordinary life and welfare. Scholars must run to seek and to construct the fundamental basis of peoples lives. They conceived that orthodox group`s Li sometimes killed a lot of people by accusing them in the court of Heaven - Li. They also criticized that under the umbrella of Heavenly Li, orthodox group justified a various types of constitutional evil, normal violations over one who has natural behavior and tendencies. One scholar of this group, whose name is Jung Yakyong thought of human nature as a hobby not a heavenly Li. They declare that all people are innately equal. Lee Yi thought that sages as a ruler must make it a goal to give people their jobs and vocation, and to make them enjoy happy lives. Jung Yakyong said that a ruler could be changed as conductor of orchestra. Park Eunshik said that rulers must rush into the fields of peoples real and practical lives, and break the artificial and natural barriers, use and product the methods of easy and simple. Among their ideas, there are persistently intention and utilities for people`s lives. They thought that one hundred ordinary people`s ideas is better than one sage`s ideas.
