This study is meant to evaluate the DPRK-US summit as a negotiation strategy and to examine the goal-oriented egoism and attributes that are based on the contenting negotiation strategies of the North Korea and US negotiators. Looking at Trump and Kim Jong-un's negotiations on denuclearization and easing economic sanctions, which were revealed through the last DPRK-US summit, we recognize that the unification policy and foreign policy of Korea need to change and the critical period of inflection has arrived. Contrary to expectations and hopes, the DPRK-US summit talks are still re-evaluated as stale and failed negotiations, and in this study, we want to clarify through the focus on the nature of the common the contenting negotiation strategies and system between North Korea and the United States, the personal tendencies of the supreme leader, the atmosphere of the negotiating position, and the negotiation process. In conclusion, in this article, I will be wary of flimsy illusions and optimism about the outcome of the DPRK-US summit talks, and will clarify the future direction of DPRK-US and our countermeasures.
