중학교 보건교사로 살아가기에 관한 내러티브 탐구 = A Narrative Inquiry for Living Middle Health Teacher

국문 초록 (Abstract)

우리는 삶을 통해서 자신이 누구인지를 만들어간다. 자신이 사는 삶에 의해 자기가 형성되고 표현되는 것이다. 중학교에 근무하는 세 명의 10년 차 보건교사를 대상으로 다음의 연구퍼즐을 가지고 그들의 이야기를 듣고자 한다. 첫째, 보건교사가 되기 전의 삶의 이야기는 어떠한 가 둘째, 보건교사의 현재 삶의 경험은 어떠한 의미를 부여하는 가 셋째, 보건교사의 의미 있는 삶의 경험에 따른 전망은 어떠한 가이다.
연구 결과, 보건교사의 삶은 첫째, 교직 이전 경험은 대부분 임상경험으로 특히 교사로서의 마음가짐과 보건교육의 중요성을 절실히 느낀 계기가 되었다. 둘째, 아이들과 함께하는 보건수업으로 성장하고 있는 열정, 보건교육의 중요성을 느끼고 아이들의 사랑과 인정 속에서 사는 지혜, 성교육의 중요성을 몸소 느끼고 실천하고 있는 행복을 만났다. 셋째, 삶의 경험에 따른 전망은 연구 과정의 결과물로 희망과 절망이 함께 존재하며, 체계적으로 보건교육을 실행하기 위해서는 정책과 전문가 단체의 역할, 개인의 성찰 등이 요구되었다. 이에 본 연구는 내러티브 탐구라는 질적 접근을 통해 그들의 삶을 이해하고, 현재 보건교사의 역할을 성찰하면서 보건교육 및 보건 관련 단체의 발전 방향까지 모색하는 데 그 의의가 있다.

We are making our own identity through our own course of life. Our identity is formed and expressed by our own life style. Targeting 3 10th-year health teachers working at middle school, the study listened to their stories with questions below. First, what was the life story of teachers before they became health teacher? Second, what kind of meaning current life experience of health teachers signifies? Third, what is the prospect of health teachers based on their meaningful life experience?
The results of this study are as follows: First, the previous experience of the health teachers is mostly the clinical experience which became an opportunity to acutely feel, especially, the importance of the attitude of the teacher and health education. Second, they felt the importance of health education, the growing passion for health education with children, and met the happiness to personally feel and practice the importance of wisdom living in children's love and recognition and sexual education. Third, the prospect of life experiences is a result of the research process, and hope and despair coexist in it, and the policy for the systematic implementation of health education, the role of professional groups, and reflection of individuals are required. Thus this study aims to understand their lives through the qualitative approach to narrative inquiry, reflecting on the role of current health teachers, and examining the development direction of health education and health related organizations.
