In this paper, a novel frequency recovery scheme for ATSC terrestrial DTV system is proposed. The frequency offset is estimated using the phase of autocorrelation of received pilot signal. With the estimated frequency offset, the NCO frequency is replaced for the synchronization by the received pilot signal frequency. Experimental results show that the proposed scheme accomplishes fast frequency recovery. It also achieves the frequency offset less than 2 kHz from ±250kHz pull-in range.
