평신도 운동과 신학에 관한 고찰 = A Study on the Movement and Theology of the Laity

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 논문은 “평신도 운동과 신학”에 대한 비판적 연구이다. 루터의 만인제사장설은 가톨릭교회의 성직주의와 교권주의를 거부하는 혁명적 이론이었다. 그러나 그것은 종교개혁 이후 창조적으로 계승되지 못했고, 오늘날 교회는 또 다시 성직주의와 교권주의에 빠졌다. 이에 대한 반성으로 1960년대 이후 평신도 운동과 신학이 본격적으로 논의되었다. 그것은 성직주의와 교권주의가 교회의 본질로부터 이탈한 것이라는 자기반성에서 출발하였다. 성직자와 평신도는 하나님 나라의 사역을 위해 부름 받은 한 하나님의 백성이다. 그들은 직무의 차이만 있을 뿐 신분의 차이는 없다. 이러한 평신도 운동은 성직주의와 교권주의에 빠져 생명력을 상실한 기존 교회를 개혁하는 교회개혁운동이며 교회의 참된 본질을 회복하려는 교회회복운동이다. 또한 올바른 평신도 운동을 위해서는 평신도 신학이 정립되어야 한다. 그것은 반성직자적인 신학이나 교역의 보조기능을 담당할 객체로서의 평신도를 위한 신학이 아니다. 그것은 세상에서 하나님의 선교와 사랑을 실천하는 교역자이며 타락한 교회를 개혁하는 역동적 힘의 주체자인 평신도에 관한 신학이다. 이러한 관점에서 이 논문은 루터(M. Luther), 콩가르(Yves M. J. Congar), 크래머 (Hendrik Kraemer)와 스티븐스(R. Paul Stevens)의 평신도 운동과 신학을 비판적으로 검토하고 종말론과 성령론의 관점에서 평신도 운동과 신학을 재정립하였다. 그것은 교회의 위기를 극복하는 출발점이 될 것이다. 참으로 교회의 미래는 평신도 운동의 성패에 달려 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper is a critical study on the movement and theology of the laity. Martin Luther’s universal priesthood was a revolutionary theory that rejected the sacerdotalism and clericalism of the Roman Catholic Church. But since the Reformation it has not been creatively inherited, and today the Christian Church has fallen into the sacerdotalism and clericalism again. As a reflection on this, the movement and theology of the laity have been discussed in earnest since the 1960s. It started from self-reflection that the sacerdotalism and clericalism was an erroneous form deviating from the essence of the church. The clergy and laity are a people of God who are called to the service for the Kingdom of God. There is no difference in their status, only differences in their jobs. This movement of the laity is a church reform movement that reforms existing churches that have lost their vitality by falling into the sacerdotalism and clericalism and is a church restoration movement to restore the true nature of the church. In addition, the theology of laity should be established for the correct movement of laity. It is not anti-clergy theology, also not a theology for laity as an object of ministry. It is a theology about laity as a ministry who serves God’s mission and love in the world and as the subject of dynamic power to reform the fallen church. In this context, this paper critically examines the movement and theology of the laity by Martin Luther, Yves M.J. Congar, Hendrik Kraemer and R. Paul Stevens, and reestablishes the movement and theology of the laity from the perspective of eschatology and pneumatology. It will be the starting point to overcome the current crisis of the Christian Church. Indeed, the future of the Christian Church depends on the success or failure of the movement of the laity.
