비판적사고 교육의 변천과 수업실제 = Critical Thinking Education Movement and Teaching Practice

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 비판적사고 교육이 시대적으로 어떻게 진전되었는지 살펴보고, 그 다음은 비판적사고 수업 접근에 대한 논쟁은 무엇인지, 다양한 비판적사고 기능을 수업에서 어떻게 적용하는지, 그리고 비판적사고 수업에서 강조해야 할 점은 무엇인지를 살펴보는 것이 목적이다. 본 연구는 초·중·고등 교육의 장에서 비판적사고 수업의 계획, 비판적사고의 증진을 위한 교육과정 자료의 개발, 다양한 프로그램의 적용을 위한 이론적 틀과 과정을 제공한다. 아울러 사려 깊은(thoughtfulness) 교실과 사고가 충만한(mindful) 학교와 같은 생각하는 학습사회로 이끌어 가야하는 교육대학과 사범대학의 교사교육 프로그램의 변화를 기대하는 측면에서도 좋은 시사점을 던진다고 할 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of his study was to examine how thinking skills movement enhanced since 1980, what are the debates on critical thinking approaches, how can teachers utilize the critical thinking skills in classroom teaching, and what emphases should be made in order for increased use of critical thinking from elementary school to university curriculum. Critical thinking skills movement occurred in three phases, phase 1: thinking skills, phase 2: critical/creative thinking, phase 3: thoughtful classroom/mindful school. In other words, thinking skills movement follow its evolutionary path from skill acquisition, to meaning-making, and finally to application and transfer. It is also seen the same gradual process for teachers as they learn the skills to teach thinking. This study provides theoretical bases for planning critical thinking instruction, developing materials for critical thinking classes, and suggests implications for thoughtful classroom and mindful school and changes for teacher education program from elementary school to university level.
