      Achievements in the seed industry of vegetables are summrized into three as follows : More than 91% of 750 registered varieties are already alternated with F₁ hybrids. Most staple vegetables are reached to be grown even in winter and summer to meet the year-round demand. The seed is now an important exporting item of agriculture products, in spite of its large amount was imported about 20 years ago.
      For the continueous progress of the seed industry, basic researches and germplasm collections should be emphasized, breeders in commercial seed companies should be attained their honour in releasing new varieties, the national institutes for vegetable breeding should concentrate their researches to supporting seed companies, and the National Agricultural Co-operation Federation should modify its direction on seed business to avoid competitions with seed companies.
