      Ventilation is important for the health and comfort of building occupants it is necessary to dilute and remove pollutants emitted from indoor source such as those derived from metabolism and from the activities of occupants Demand Controlled Ventilati...

      Ventilation is important for the health and comfort of building occupants it is necessary to dilute and remove pollutants emitted from indoor source such as those derived from metabolism and from the activities of occupants Demand Controlled Ventilation system (DCV system) is possible to calculate the ventilation requirements to prevent pollutants from exceeding the threshold concentration level Also, the system can provides the ventilation rates automatically by means of motor damper and maintain indoor mr quality under the setting concentration level with response to variations of the pollutant levels Existing DCV system is being controlled by the stroke of damper blade But, ventilation rate is not proportional to the stroke ratio of damper blade Therefore, the control characteristics of damper is required for the proper control of ventilation rate
      in this study, the experimental ventilation system for the DCV control is established to figure out the control characteristics of damper blade After measurement of various experimental cases according to the stroke ratio of damper blade, logical concepts of the stroke ratio for the DCV system is suggested to provide the appropriate ventilation and to ensure the good indoor air quality
