To produce thick, large and long pipe used for oil, gas and water pipelines, thick plate bending process using press-braking bending apparatus is more suitable. In the press-braking bending, main process parameters are able to be summarized as stroke of the press-braking knife, distance between both rollers, and feeding length of the thick plate. In fact, various pipe diameters could be obtained by combinations of the mentioned parameters. In this study, the press-braking bending is considered to simulate and verify the thick plate bending process for shaping the flat plate into the required circular and tubular pipe. The repetitive numerical simulations by feeding the plate are performed by finite element analysis in case of the knife stroke of 18mm, the turning roller distance of 250mm, and the feeding length of 50mm. The simulated result is compared with those of the experiment. As the results, the evaluation to verify the soundness for the obtained pipe is carried out, and the pipe diameters between the numerical and the experimental approaches are well matched.
