노인성질환 재가노인의 외로움이 생의 의미에 미치는 영향: 지각된 가족지지 및 적응유연성의 매개효과 = The Mediating Effect of Perceived Family Support and Adaptation Flexibility on the Relationship between Loneliness and the Meaning of Life in Elderly People Living in Home with Senile Diseases

This study was conducted to investigate the mediating effect of perceived family support and adaptability in the effect of loneliness on the meaning of life in elderly people living in home with senile diseases. To this end, a survey was conducted on 380 elderly people using the elderly day care center and finally, 286 copies of the data were analyzed. The results were as follows. First, it was confirmed that loneliness had a negatively significant effect on the perceived family support, adaptability, and the meaning of life. On the other hand, the perceived family support and adaptability had statically significant effects on the meaning of life. Second, it was confirmed that the mediating effect of perceived family support was significant in the effect of loneliness on the meaning of life. Third, it was confirmed that the mediating effect of adaptability was significant in the effect of loneliness on the meaning of life. Through these research results, it was suggested that the perceived family support and adaptability should be increased in order to increase the level of meaning of life for the lonely home-aged elderly with senile diseases.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 노인성질환이 있는 재가노인의 외로움이 생의 의미에 미치는 영향에서 지각된 가족지지와 적응유연성의 매개 효과를 규명하기 위하여 수행되었다. 이를 위하여 서울, 경기 및 인천 지역의 장기요양기관 중 재가시설인 노인 주간 보호센터 이용 노인 380명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 하였고, 최종적으로 286부의 자료를 분석하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 주요 변인들 간의 관계에서 외로움은 지각된 가족지지와 생의 의미에 부적으로 유의한 영향을 미치며, 지각된 가족지지는 생의 의미에 정적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 외로움은 적응유연성에 부적으로 유의한 영향을 미치며 적응유연성은 생의 의미에 정적으로 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 외로움이 생의 의미에 미치는 영향에서 지각된 가족지지의 매개효과는 유의하였다. 셋째, 외로움이 생의 의미에 미치는 영향에서 적응유연성의 매개효과는 유의한 것으로 확인되었다. 이는 노인성질환이 있고 외로움을 겪는 재가노인의 생의 의미 수준을 높이기 위해서는 지각된 가족지지와 적응유연성을 높이는 것이 유용할 수 있음을 시사한다.
