This study was conducted to investigate the mediating effect of perceived family support and adaptability in the effect of loneliness on the meaning of life in elderly people living in home with senile diseases. To this end, a survey was conducted on 380 elderly people using the elderly day care center and finally, 286 copies of the data were analyzed. The results were as follows. First, it was confirmed that loneliness had a negatively significant effect on the perceived family support, adaptability, and the meaning of life. On the other hand, the perceived family support and adaptability had statically significant effects on the meaning of life. Second, it was confirmed that the mediating effect of perceived family support was significant in the effect of loneliness on the meaning of life. Third, it was confirmed that the mediating effect of adaptability was significant in the effect of loneliness on the meaning of life. Through these research results, it was suggested that the perceived family support and adaptability should be increased in order to increase the level of meaning of life for the lonely home-aged elderly with senile diseases.
