    Objective : We studied the effects of postural balance or control according to mental imagery(MI).
    Methods : Data were collected on 27 normal subjects between September and October of 2012. Subjects
    have not had neurological disease related with postural balance and have not experienced participated in similar study. Subjects were evaluated standing balance with the image of standing on the flat floor and the image of walking on the single log bridge. Posture of evaluating is the position of standing Semi-tandem posture with closed eyes. Standing balance was calculated right-left postural sway(R-L PS), anterior-posterior postural sway(A-P PS), and
    sway area(SA) through moving of center of pressure(COP). SPSS Ver. 18.0 was used for statistical analysis; Descriptive analysis, paired t-test and pearson correlation analysis.
    Results : The result of this study, there are significant difference in standing balance with MI. standing balance was increasing more with MI of walking on single log bridge than MI of standing on flat floor at R-L PS and A-P PS(p<.05). but there are no significant difference in SA(p>.05).
    Conclusion : We found that moving of COP though R-L PS and A-P PS according to the MI. In conclusion,
    our results suggest the point that MI using actual movie have positive effects on postural balance or control.
