This paper is the experimental study on the improvement of the 4WD (4 Wheel Drive) vehicle's noise and vibration by the Transfer Path Analysis.
Employing the theoretical concepts of Transfer Path Analysis and the experimental approach of the conventional 4WD vehicle, this analysis methods are suggested to reduce the interior noise at idle rpm by improvement of left engine mount rubber characteristics.
According to the driving test(Idle Sweep), it will be very helpful for NVH engineers to improve the noise and vibration phenomena of the passenger car using the Transfer Path Analysis. The test results show that the interior noise and vibration level of the 4WD vehicle are significantly influenced by the left engine mount rubber.
