      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

      This research was to compare and analyze housing consciousness and housing preference of baby boom and eco generation, who will be the main housing-demanded groups in the present and the future. This study will provide useful information to suggest alternative housing based on the difference of preference between baby boom and eco generation. For the research, survey was developed by referring previous researches, and consisting of socio-demographic characteristics, housing consciousness, and housing preference. The 226 samples included 98 in baby boom generation, and 128 in eco generation. The results were as follows : 1) Baby boom generation felt the burden of housework because they had plenty of time spending with their family. They wanted well-balanced housing and also prefered pleasant environment with social expression 2) Eco generation had less burden of housework. So the demands of the housework space was low, while demands of private space was high. They preferred the housing which assured the privacy of individuals, and located nearby cultural & entertainment centers and public transportation. 3) Baby boom and eco generation both had high consciousness of the rest. They needed a room for relax, and spent a lot of time in the relax places. Also, the housing should be economically feasible.
