사례기반학습을 활용한 초등동물복지 교육 교수·학습 방안 = Teaching and Learning Methods for Animals Welfare Education in Elementary School Using Case-Based Learning

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 사례기반학습을 활용한 교수·학습 구현 전략을 개발하고 실행 방안을 모색함으로써 초등학교 현장에서 동물복지 교육을 체계적으로 구현하는데 기여하고자 하였다. 연구의 목적에 도달하기 위하여 2015 개정 초등학교 교육과정을 반영한 1∼6학년(군) 통합교과·실과·도덕·사회·과학 교과서의 동물복지 교육 관련 내용을 분석하고 동물복지 교육 관련 내용영역과 시사점을 도출하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 초등동물복지 교육을 위한 사례기반용 교수·학습 전략을 제안하였다. 개발된 교수·학습 전략은 학교 현장에서 효과적으로 활용할 수 있도록 하기 위하여 동물복지 교육 내용 영역을 중심으로 교육과정을 재구성하여 교과 간 통합으로 수업할 수 있도록 교수·학습 실행 방안을 제시하였다.
이 연구를 통해 도출된 결론은 다음과 같다.
첫째, 2015 개정 교육과정을 적용한 통합교과·실과·도덕·사회·과학 교과서의 동물복지 교육 관련 내용을 분석한 결과, 각 교과의 특성에 맞는 동물복지 교육 내용이 반영되어 있었다. 이를 바탕으로 동물복지 교육 내용 영역에 따라 적절한 동물복지 문제 사례를 선정하고 사례기반학습용 교수·학습 전략을 수립하였다.
둘째, 사례기반학습을 활용한 초등동물복지 교육을 효과적으로 가르치기 위한 방안으로는 동물복지 관련 사례와 연관이 있는 여러 교과를 동물복지 내용 영역을 중심으로 재구성하여 지도하는 방안이 있다. 여러 교과를 재구성하면 통합적 관점에서 동물복지 문제를 다룰 수 있어 체계적이고 심도 있는 학습이 가능할 것이다.
셋째, 사례기반학습을 활용한 초등동물복지 교육은 학습자 중심의 교육방안으로 학생 주도의 적극적인 학습이 이루어져 동물복지에 관한 학생들의 관심과 흥미를 바탕으로 지속적인 동기유발이 가능하다. 이를 통해 일회성 교육에 그치지 않고 다양한 동물 문제에 꾸준한 관심을 가지며, 생활 속에서 동물복지를 실천하고자 하는 동물복지 교육의 목표를 달성하는 데 도움이 될 것이다.
이 연구에서 얻은 시사점을 종합해 보면, 사례기반학습을 활용한 초등동물복지 교육은 체계적으로 구성된 사례를 통해 학습자 중심의 능동적인 학습이 이루어지며 이 과정을 통해 비판적 사고력, 합리적 문제해결력 등 고등사고능력과 미래 역량을 함양할 수 있다는 점에서 의미를 갖는다. 따라서 이 연구 결과를 바탕으로 동물복지 교육 목표 달성을 위해 다양한 사례를 개발하고 실제 활용하는 활발한 후속 연구가 이루어져야 할 것으로 보인다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aimed to contribute to the systematic implementation of animal welfare education in elementary school field by developing and exploring the execution methods of teaching and learning strategies using case-based learning. To achieve this purpose of this study, the contents related to animal welfare education in integrated subjects, practical arts, ethics, society, and science textbooks for 1st to 6th grade(group) reflecting the 2015 revised elementary school curriculum were analyzed, and the content areas and implications related to animal welfare education were analyzed. Based on this, a case-based teaching and learning strategy for elementary animal welfare education was proposed. In order to effectively utilize the developed teaching and learning strategy in the school field, a teaching and learning implementation plan was proposed to reorganize the curriculum centering on the content area of animal welfare education so that classes can be integrated between subjects.
The conclusions derived from this study are as follows.
First, as a result of analyzing the contents related to animal welfare education in the 2015 revised curriculum, integrated subjects, practical subjects, morality, society, and science textbooks, the contents of animal welfare education appropriate to the characteristics of each subject were reflected. Based on this, appropriate cases of animal welfare problems were selected according to the contents of animal welfare education, and teaching and learning strategies for case-based learning were established.
Second, as a way to effectively teach elementary animal welfare education using case-based learning, there is a plan to reorganize and guide various subjects related to animal welfare-related cases, focusing on the animal welfare content area. Reconstructing several subjects will enable systematic and in-depth learning by dealing with animal welfare issues from an integrated perspective.
Third, elementary animal welfare education using case-based learning is a learner-centered educational method, and active student-led learning is made possible to continuously motivate students based on their interest and interest in animal welfare. Furthermore, it will help to achieve the goal of animal welfare education that does not stop at one-time education, but has a steady interest in various animal problems and practices animal welfare in life.
To sum up the implications from this study, elementary animal welfare education using case-based learning achieves learner-centered active learning through systematically constructed cases, and through this process, higher thinking such as critical thinking ability and rational problem-solving ability It is meaningful in that it can develop capabilities and future capabilities. Therefore, based on the results of this study, follow-up research should be conducted to develop various cases to achieve the goal of animal welfare education and to activate them by applying them in practice.
