The purpose of this study is to investigate the use of public languages by local public enterprises and to suggest ways to improve them. To this end, we diagnosed the use of public languages of ‘Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Development Corporation’, the largest public enterprise in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province. As a result of setting difficult terms as targets for improvement, 7 the japanize chinese letter, 45 difficult foreign languages, 10 loan words and roman alphabet, and 55 difficult sino-korean words were collected, and a total of 117 terms to be improved were identified. The first way to improve public language is education and publicity. It was suggested that education for employees of public enterprises, who are public language producers, and various promotions for the general public, who are audiences of public language, are necessary. Second, it is the activation of the Korean language specialist system that can complement the expertise of the mandatory public enterprise Korean language officer. Although there are local governments that implement this, it was proposed as an effective improvement plan that can be actively used by public enterprises that are more free to manage their budgets.
