      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to analyze word spacing error aspects in the university writing. For this purpose, writing data was collected from Jeju National University’s < Writing > course students, and the aspects of word spacing errors identified therein were examined by types and affiliations.
The collected data totaled 200 papers, approximately 1,500 characters in length. There were a total of 560 cases of word spacing errors confirmed here. By types, space errors occurred 202 times (36.07%) and non-space errors occurred 358 times (63.93%). And complete rules showed the highest error rate with 234 errors (41.78%), followed by auxiliary predicate with 128 errors (22.86%), bound noun with 119 errors (21.25%), and postposition with 79 errors (14.11%). and the error was not confirmed in proper noun. By affiliations, art & physical showed the highest error rate with 185 errors (33.03%), followed by natural sciences & engineering with 128 errors (22.86%), social sciences with 127 errors (22.68%), and humanities with 120 errors (21.43%). In all affiliations, non-space errors occurred more often than space errors, At the same time, the most frequent word spacing errors related to complete rules appeared. In addition, there were particularly many cases of word spacing errors in art & physical, which showed that art & physical was relatively vulnerable to word spacing compared to other affiliations.
