荷潭 金時讓의 詩文學 一考 = The Study of the Poetry by Kim Si-Yang

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is about the poetry of HaDam(荷潭) Kim Si-Yang(金時讓) who was born in 1581 of Joseon Dynasty.
He was run the gauntlet by opposing party and driven into exile, when he holden to make up for national examination in the era of king Kwang-Hae. After the opposition forces of the king Kwang-Hae carried out coup, he’d come back and usually worked for the king In-Jo for 21years until he died. Nam-In(南人) party (such as Lee Duck-Hyeng, Lee Hang-Bok) patronized him and he has been a representative man of Nam-In party. He has successively filled various government posts, as example a provincial governor, a Capital Mayor, the Minister of War etc.
This study classifies and places his poems to 4 categories that brings up 4 subjects. First, he wrote the poems as a politician and governor so he generally recited painful poems that he conceived himself a caged bird and wanted to return to politic world to participate in government administration during his exile (12years). In this case, he revealed his enthusiastic patriotism.
Second, he showed the relationship with his friends(mostly Nam-In party) during social intercourse. He gave and accepted the poems with his friend when he or his friend was dispatched the governor or was sent the envoy to China or Japan, they recited the parting words and the sorrows of parting.
The third topic is he revealed his feeling frustrated and acutely longing for his hometown and families during exile. The last he criticized the hard-hitting social conditions. Then, the people are suffered from tyranny such as over labors and taxes but there are many corrupt officials.
And an additional remark, he mostly made the poems with 8 lines style of Chinese verse and the rhymes followed Dang-Dynasty poetry. The most important thing is that he always concerned himself with the nation’s future by governor.
