This research has studied what sorts of attributes are prioritized and which of them are important, starting with its purpose that the evaluation of cultural tourist festivals should be executed objectively, systematically and comprehensively.
To accomplish the research objective, the analysis of weighted values and the verification of the divergences among groups have been carried out through the attributes able to evaluate cultural tourist festivals output from a preceding study.
The research set up two factors in the attributes of evaluation: holders, visitors and detailed attributes of each factor have been observed.
First, the areas of holders' evaluation among the attributes by each factor for measurement are the degrees of objectives accomplished, the efficiency of events as wholes, economical efficiency and democratic elements. Second, those of visitors' evaluation are experience activities, facilities, service and approachability.
The research has also verified the priorities in each attribute, the degrees of its importance and the divergences among groups by researching the opinions of professionals on the attributes in evaluating from 81 valid samples, a satisfiable outcome has been attained as the whole reliance of holders, local residents, visitors and participating companies was 0.9 plus. In the priority of each factor, the factors for holders have been prioritized economical efficiency, the efficiency of events, the degrees of objectives accomplished and democratic elements in order. Those for visitors have been prioritized service, experience activities, facilities and approachability.
Despite the significance of this research that an objective and comprehensive study of cultural tourist festivals has been carried out in it, it maintains some limitations as follows:
First, however evaluation should include all of its elements, such as objects, periods, time, evaluators, compensational systems, etc., this research has dealt only with the selection of attributes and the decision of priorities. Hence, another research that considers all of the elements should be carried out.
Second, in spite of the fact that evaluation should be not only for the past but also the establishment of long-term strategies and vision, this research lacks discussions on those elements. In other words, the attributes in it has not been selected through vision or strategies, but through a bibliographic study as a form of being verified the relationship between the academic circle and the official-dom. The researches hereafter should be to set up strategies and to come up with vision.
Third, this research has failed to compare the thoughts of the involved industry on the attributes in evaluating the festivals since it has limited its respondents only to the two groups: the academic and the official people.
If the future researches are carried out in the level of overcoming the limitations indicated above, it is thought that more meaningful results will be obtained.
