This essay analyzes how to revive the reality of the Korea Peninsula after the war between Russia & Korea through the 『Song-Lui-Kum』, enlighment Korean novels, written by Jung-Su Yuk. The essay analyzes it in two different ways.
It inquires into the problem of the reality revival in two different ways, because the story focuses on both Kyeo-Ok, the heroine, and Kun-Am, the hero. The problem of reality in the story that focuses on Kyeo-Ok, the heroine, is the outside drain of Koreans who are dispatched as migrant laborers. Also, the problem of the actuality in the story which focuses on Kun-Am, the hero, is about the economic colonialization that subordinated Korea to the economic construction of Japan which was rapidly becoming a hegemonic nation.
Unfortunately, these two problems show a literary limitation, which is that each revives separately, as 『Song-Lui-Kum』 is an incomplete novel. However, the novel of 『Song-Lui-Kum』 revives the Korean Peninsula, after the war between Russia & Japan. In this regard, 『Song-Lui-Kum』 shows a strong reflection of the present age.
