초등학교에서의 디지털교과서 활용 수업 : 쟁점과 과제 = Digital Textbook-Based Instruction in Elementary School : Main Issues and Future Tasks

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 최근 초등학교 현장에 미래 학습세대들을 위한 새로운 형태의 교수매체로 주목받고 있는 디지털교과서가 학교 교실현장에 활용되는데 있어서 제기되고 있는 문제점과 쟁점들을 파악하고, 향후 어떤 방향으로 디지털교과서가 연구？개발되어 실천적으로 적용되어야 하는지를 탐색해 보고자 시도되었다. 초등학교에서의 디지털교과서 활용 수업과 관련하여 도출될 수 있는 주요 쟁점은 크게 교육적 영향력과 교수학습 전략 및 방법 두 가지 측면으로 구분되었는데, 교육적 영향력과 관련하여서는 학습효과성 관련 문제, 인지적 정보처리 문제, 상호작용 및 커뮤니케이션 문제 등이 논의되었으며, 교수학습 전략 및 방법과 관련하여서는 디지털교과서 ‘중심’수업과 ‘보조’수업, ‘모형’ 중심의 교수학습 방법과 ‘활동’ 중심의 교수학습 방법, ‘교수용’ 디지털교과서와 ‘학습용 디지털교과서’, 교실‘내’ 수업과 교실‘밖’ 수업을 연계한 교수학습전략 등이 논의되었다. 끝으로, 향후 디지털교과서의 연구？개발 및 활용에 있어서 고려해야 할 과제들이 몇 가지 제시되었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate main issues and future tasks on digital textbook as a new media for the future learning generation in elementary school setting. Main issues related to digital textbook-based instruction were categorized into two aspects: 1) educational impact, 2) teaching-learning strategies and tactics used in the classroom. From the viewpoint of educational impact, learning achievement, cognitive information processing, interaction and communication with digital textbook were considered. In terms of teaching-learning strategies and tactics, differences between digital textbook-centerd and assisted instruction, teaching-learning methods based on 'activities', teaching oriented or learning oriented digital textbook, linking strategies of in-classroom and out-classroom activities were presented. In conclusion, discourse about the future textbook, middle and long-term research on various influence of digital textbook, digital textbook design based on universal design for learning(UDL), development of supporting tools for interaction and communication based on web 2.0/e-Learning 2.0, and search of teaching-learning strategies from the viewpoint of the future class ecology were suggested as the future tasks for improving digital textbook-based instruction.
