『묘법연화경』의 믿음[śraddhā · prasāda · adhimukti] 연구 - 구마라습 역본과 케른본(KN本)의 믿음 용례를 중심으로 -

국문 초록 (Abstract)

믿음은 종교적인 측면뿐 아니라 심리학, 철학 등에서도 중요하게 다룬다. 믿음은 확신으로 굳어지면 긍정 또는 부정의 요인이 된다. 불교에서의 믿음은 맹목적이라 보다는 믿고 이해하는 이지적인 면이 많다. 본고는 『묘법연화경』의 믿음[śraddhā · prasāda · adhimukti] 용어를 중심으로 전개한다. 구마라습이 번역한 『묘법연화경』과 케른본의 전체 28품 가운데 20품 이상에서 언급된다. 신(śraddhā)은 삼보에 귀의할 때 생기는 정신작용으로 『묘법연화경』의 내용이 진실하고 참된 말임을 강조할 때 쓰인다. 징정(prasāda)은 청정(淸淨)과 정신(淨信)의 의미로 용례는 많지 않다. 신해(adhimukti)는 불법에 대해 온전히 이해하여 의심이 없는 결심과 의욕을 드러내는 말로 사용된다. 『묘법연화경』의 믿음의 대상은 당연히 부처님의 말씀이지만, 『묘법연화경』의 일체의 진실한 모습을 여실히 아시는 일체지로서의 위신력이 잘 드러난다. 그러나 제법실상에 대해 믿음을 가지는 것이 핵심이다. 여기에 모든 중생들이 여래의 똑같은 성품을 지닌 존재로 성불할 수 있다고 믿는 것이 『묘법연화경』의 믿음이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Faith is important not only in religious aspects, but also in psychology and philosophy. When faith is solidified into certainty, it becomes a factor of positivity or negativity. Faith in Buddhism is often intellectual, believing and understanding rather than blind. This study focuses on the terms faith [śraddhā, prasāda, adhimukti] in the Lotus Sutra. It is mentioned in the Lotus Sutra translated by Kumarajiva and in more than 20 of the 28 articles in Kern[KN本]. Śraddhā(信) is a mental action that occurs when you return to the three treasures, and is use to emphasizes that the words of Budda is ture and sincere so ones have to believe and understand them. Prasāda(澄淨) means pure faith and clear and calm, and there are not many examples of its use. Adhimukti(信解) is also used to express the unquestioning determiantion or confidence, inclination or desire by understanding thoroughly the Buddism. The article of faith in Lotus Sutra is the words fo Budda, and the prestige power of Budda is empahsized who knows the true identity of people, but the key is what we have faith true reality of all phenomena. It is the faith of Lotus Sutra that all people can be the Buddist as the being of the same nature as the Budda.
