국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 온라인 친환경 액티비즘에 참여하는 수준과 사회적 규범을 준수하는 수준이 일상생활에서의 자발적 친환경 행동과 의무적 친환경 행동에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 확인하기 위해 진행되었다. 더불어, 온라인 친환 경 액티비즘과 사회적 규범이 실제 친환경 행동유형에 영향을 미친다면, 그 동기요인은 무엇인지를 알아보기 위 해 환경보호와 관련된 책임감과 환경 죄책감의 매개효과를 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 온라인 친환경 액티비즘에 적극적으로 참여하고 사회적 규범을 준수하는 수준이 높은 사람일수록 일상생활에서도 자발적 친환경 행동과 의 무적 친환경 행동을 더욱 활발하게 실천하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 개인이 사회 구성원으로서 느끼는 자연보호에 대한 책임감은 온라인 친환경 액티비즘이 친환경 행동유형에 미치는 영향력을 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 마찬가지 로, 친환경 행동을 실천하지 않았을 때, 스스로의 행동이 자연환경에 부정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 인식하는 환경 죄책감도 온라인 친환경 액티비즘이 친환경 행동유형에 미치는 영향력을 매개하는 것으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 사회적 규범이 친환경 행동유형에 미치는 영향력에도 책임감과 죄책감이 매개효과를 갖는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 환경 문제를 해결하기 위해 노력하는 기업과 공공정책 실무자들이 대중의 친환경 행동을 효과적으 로 촉진하는 전략을 수립하고, 글로벌 환경 위기에 대응하는 실질적인 방안을 마련하는 과정에서 유용한 기초 자 료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

This study examines how the level of participation in online pro-environmental activism and adherence to social norms influences voluntary and obligatory pro-environmental behavior in daily life. Furthermore, this study explores the underlying motivational factors by analyzing the mediating effects of environmental responsibility and guilt in the relationship between online environmental activism, social norms, and the types of pro-environmental behavior. The findings reveal three key insights. First, individuals who actively engage in online environmental activism and strongly adhere to social norms are more likely to practice both voluntary and obligatory pro-environmental behaviors in their daily lives. Second, a sense of responsibility for environmental protection mediated the relationship between online environmental activism and both types of pro-environmental behavior. Similarly, environmental guilt also mediated this relationship. Third, both responsibility and guilt mediated the influence of social norms on both types of pro-environmental behavior. The researchers expect that these findings will provide valuable insights for businesses and policymakers working to promote sustainable pro-environmental behavior among the public. By understanding the psychological mechanisms that drive sustainable pro-environmental actions, organizations can develop more effective strategies to encourage public engagement and formulate practical solutions to address global environmental challenges.
