      Recently, the importance of the leisure and leisure time are increasing, but most of leisure time is spending in TV watching. So, the purpose of this study is to suggest the importance and method for activating the family volunteer activity through family leisure.
      For this purpose, this study shows the importance of family leisure and leisure time. And the significance of voluntary activities and the time survey results about them are demonstrated. Especially, this study focused the importance of family voluntary activities and the contribution to their families and society.
      Finally, the legislations relating to the voluntary activities are listed. So, many communities and family service centers, specially healthy family support center, can activate and increase family voluntary activities by participating to the implementation of these laws.
