영성신학에서 본 영적 식별 : 식별기준과 수단 그리고 영의 표지 = Spiritual Discernment in Spiritual Theology : Criteria, Means of Discernment and Sign of Spirit

Today, with the rapidly changing tides and numerous trends flooding, spiritual discernment work is being called for as theological work as more important than ever. God, who calls human beings for the perfection, considers him to reach his own purpose while leading him to various secondary causes, that is, through various intermediaries. In this process, we must find and identify the will of God hidden behind it in the face of encounters and events with countless people. We can then progress on the path of the sanctification moving on the very path God wants. First of all, spiritual discernment can reveal the origins of various spiritual movements occurring within our souls and based on them, prevent opportunities to fall into sin by either following the spiritual movements or rejecting the movements. Therefore, spiritual discernment is a key task that determines the success or failure of human spiritual journey toward the unity of love with God.
This thesis aims to deal with the spiritual discernment in detail. First of all, we started from the terminology problem and examined what God's spirit, evil spirit, and human spirit movement are in our soul. And we have examined the criteria for identifying these spirits and what are the various means. The fundamental criteria for spiritual discernment are the various evangelical values Jesus has presented and better things than on the path of sanctification, greater spiritual comfort and what lead us to service and dedicate for others. Based on this, we use various means, such as the Word of God, prayer, teaching of the Catholic Church, and personal awareness of the counselee to work on spiritual discernment. The key to spiritual discernment is to know the signs of each spirit. When we have this professional insight, we can use the criteria and means for discernment to reveal the origins of the existing spiritual movement in us. These discernment are made not only on a personal level but also on a community level. We were called to be saved and sanctified together. Therefore, at the end of this thesis, we examined the preconditions and process for community discernment. Through this thesis, you will find basic frameworks for various spiritual discernment at the personal and community level. It is hoped that the consideration of this subject will provide practical help for the sanctification of each individual and the development of community.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

급변하는 시대적 조류와 수많은 사조가 범람하는 오늘날, 영적 식별 작업은 그 어느 때보다도 중요한 신학적 작업으로 요청되고 있다. 인간을 완덕으로 부르시는 하느님은 다양한 2차적 원인, 즉 다양한 중개(仲介)를 통해 그를 섭리적으로 인도하는 가운데 그가 자신이 창조된 목적에 이르도록 배려하신다. 우리는 이 과정에서 무수한 사람과의 만남, 사건에 직면해서 그 이면에 숨어 있는 하느님의 뜻을 찾고 식별해야 한다. 그럴 때 우리는 하느님이 원하시는 바로 그 길로 나아가는 가운데 성화의 길에서 진보할 수 있다. 무엇보다도 영적 식별은 우리의 영혼 안에서 일어나는 다양한 영적 움직임의 기원을 밝히고 이를 토대로 그 영적 움직임을 따라 성화의 길로 나아갈지 아니면 그 움직임을 거부함으로써, 죄에 걸려 넘어질 기회를 차단할 수 있다. 따라서 영적 식별은 하느님과의 사랑의 합일을 향한 인간의 영적 여정의 성패를 좌우하는 핵심적인 작업이 아닐 수 없다.
필자는 본 논문을 통해 영적 식별이 무엇인지 구체적으로 다뤘다. 우선, 용어 문제로부터 출발해서 우리의 영혼 안에서 일어나는 하느님의 영과 악령 그리고 인간적인 영의 움직임이 무엇인지 살펴보았다. 그리고 이러한 영들을 식별하기 위한 기준과 다양한 수단에는 어떤 것이 있는지 짚어보았다. 영적 식별을 위한 근본적인 기준은 예수께서 제시하신 다양한 복음적인 가치들로서, 성화의 길에서 보다 더 좋은 것, 보다 더 큰 위로 그리고 우리를 다른 사람들과 자신을 위한 봉사와 투신으로 인도하는 것에 있다. 우리는 이를 바탕으로 다양한 수단, 예컨대 하느님의 말씀, 기도, 학식과 교도권의 가르침, 내담자에 대한 개인적인 앎을 활용해서 영적 식별 작업을 하게 된다. 영적 식별 작업에서 관건은 각각의 영이 드러내는 고유한 표지들을 아는 데 있다. 이러한 전문적인 식견이 있을 때 우리는 식별을 위한 기준과 수단을 활용해 우리 안에 현존하는 영적 움직임의 기원을 밝힐 수 있다. 이러한 식별은 개인적인 차원뿐만 아니라 공동체적인 차원에서도 이루어진다. 우리는 함께 구원되고 성화 되도록 불렸기 때문이다. 따라서 우리는 본 논문의 마지막에 공동체적인 식별을 위한 전제조건들과 식별 과정에 대해 구체적으로 살펴보았다. 본 논문을 통해 독자들은 개인적인 차원과 공동체적인 차원에서의 다양한 영적 식별을 위한 기본적인 틀을 발견하게 될 것이다. 본 주제에 대한 고찰이 각 개인의 성화와 공동체의 발전을 위한 실질적인 도움을 줄 수 있기를 바란다.
