Recently, much attention has been paid in the field of defrosting because clear windshield without effecting the thermal comfort realized is essentially. From the review of literatures, it is evident that in earlier days people just think about the driving performance, but now a days HVAC system has been given priority importantly. People like not only the convenient transportation but also the comfortable feeling with dwelling culture.
In winter, defrosting performance is one of the important factor in vehicle design to make certain driver's view.
In this study shows results of 3-D numerical investigation of defrosting performance change according to the change of control factors which are the change of defrost injection angle, the change of distance from windshield. Results show good performance of defrosting for θ, defrosting nozzle angle in the range of 15° and 25° and in case moving the defrost nozzle to windshield direction more faster velocity distribution was displayed. In case moving the defrost nozzle to automobile interior, rather the automobile inside temperature was rapidly increased.
