지역사회 거주 노인의 참여(participation)에 영향을 주는 요인에 대한 고찰 = Review of the Factors Affecting Participation in Community Dwelling Elderly

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 노인의 참여에 영향을 주는 요인에 대해 알아보는 것이다. 2009년 10월부터 2014년 10월까지 게재된 논문을 Pubmed(Medline)를 통해 검색하였다. 주요 검색 용어로 elderly AND “social participation” AND (sociodemography OR gender OR “social support” OR fall OR depression OR “self esteem” OR hope OR cognit*)을 사용하였다. Pubmed에서 총 737개의 논문이 검색되었고, 포함기준과 배제기준에 대한 분석을 한 결과 최종적으로 19개의 논문이 본 연구의 분석대상으로 사용되었다. 노인의 참여에 영향을 주는 요인에는 연령, 성별, 낙상, 시·청각 기능, 인지 기능, 우울, 이웃과의 관계 등이 보고되었고, 이 요인들을 인구사회학적 요인, 신체적 요인, 인지적 요인, 심리적 요인, 환경적 요인으로 나누어 분석하였다. 노인의 참여에는 다양한 요인들이 영향을 주기 때문에 노인의 참여에 예방·중재 접근을 할 때에는 다각적 접근이 필요하다. 이 후 연구에서는 노인의 참여와 관련된 요인들 간의 관계를 포괄적으로 규명하고 요인들 간 직접적, 간접적 관계를 규명한 연구가 필요할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to confirm the factors affecting participation in community dwelling elderly. Articles published in Pubmed from October, 2009 to October 2014 were used. Key search terms were elderly AND “social participation” AND (socio-demography OR gender OR “social support” OR fall OR depression OR “self esteem” OR hope OR cognit*). From Pubmed, 737 articles were searched and 19 articles were selected for inclusion and exclusion criteria. Causes influencing participation to elderly were reported in former articles as age, gender, fall, vision, hearing, cognitive level, depression, social network etc. In this study, these causes were categorized and analyzed in socio-demographic factors, physical factors, cognitive factors, psychological factors and environmental factors. Because many factors affect elderly participation, occupational therapists need diversified approach for prevention and intervention plan to elderly. Further studies need to comprehensively examine factors related to participation in community dwelling elderly and to clarify direct and indirect relationship between factors affecting participation in elderly.
