수학적(數學的) 인문학(人文學) 관점으로 본 채침(蔡沈)의 상수사상(象數思想) ― 채침(蔡沈)의 『홍범황극내편(洪範皇極內篇)』을 중심으로 = The Cai Shen`s Thought of Xiang-shu in the Mathematical Humanities Perspective ― To the center of Hongbeomhwanggeuk

국문 초록 (Abstract)

數는 인간의 존립에 필수적인 존재이다. 수를 통해 인간을 이해할 수 있고 수학을 통해 인문학을 만날 수 있다. 수학과 소통된 인문학 가운데 南宋代 蔡沈이 지은 『洪範皇極內篇』은 象數易學의 영역에서 만난 수학적 인문학의 사례이다. 채침은 수가 萬物의 始原에 존재한다는 입장에서 상수사상을 전개한다. 9수는 「洛書」의 수이자 수의 窮極이라 한다. 9수를 기틀 삼아 99數圖와 占法을 지었다. 천지만물의 始終과 古今의 유행변화를 3과 9와 81이 매개되어 이루어진 6561의 사례로 알 수 있다고 했다. 그 가운데 인문학적 요소를 다음과 같이 추출할 수 있다. 첫째, 그는 수와 禮樂과 倫理의 상통을 주장하는데 이는 예악·윤리와 수가 인문적으로 상관성과 보완성을 지녔다는 것이다. 둘째, 수로 性命의 이치를 알고 이를 바르게 할 수 있다고 한다. 수를 통해 파악한 만물의 본성과 자연환경이 교감하여 인문적인 요소로 뻗어갈 수 있다는 것이다. 셋째, 그는 수가 천지자연을 이해하고 만물의 존립근거를 인식할 수 있는 열쇠라고 생각한다. 그의 상수사상에서 人間學의 면모를 읽을 수 있고 人文學과의 교감을 확인할 수 있으니 이를 기초로 조선시대 수인문학의 연구도 가능할 것으로 사료된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Number is essential for the presence of human existence. Through mathematics you can meet the humanities. Cai Shen(蔡沈)`s Hongbeomhwanggeuknaepyeon(洪範皇極內篇) is model about mathematics and mathematical communication humanities in field of I-ching. He said number is the root of all things and Luo-shu(洛書)`s nine(9) is the end of number and Luo-shu is source of number. All thing world and change history are made through number of three(3), nine(9), eighty-one(81), finally six-five-six-one(6561) case are solved. Among his opinion, humanistic element is as follows. First, music · etiquette · ethics are communicated number and forward mathematical humanities(數學的 人文學). Second, through number, people understand original nature and can communicate world, that is enter the gate of the humanities. Third, He thought number is the key of understand of world and based existence all things. He is a rare man in the history of philosophy and the field of I-ching. But we read humanistic element in the his thought of Xiang-shu(象數思想).
