This case study was on a 7-year-old boy who experienced traumatic events (a traffic accident and death of family members) and was suffering from many post-traumatic symptoms: increased irritability, temper tantrums, decreased concentration, hyper-vigilance, and separation anxiety. Three clinicians provided multimodal treatment approaches for him with psychiatric medication, structured play therapy and conjoint child-family sessions for 2 years. A modified Preschool PTSD Treatment (PPT) was adopted for this case study. The structured cognitive play therapy included feeling identification, relaxation exercise, future safety development, scary feeling score, and desensitization to reminders of the trauma. It was continuously checked whether the child practiced the safety plan at home during the 55 structured sessions. In the follow up sessions, we will help the child for adaptation and mourning process and family psycho-education.
