The purpose of this study was to examine the mediation effect of experiential avoidance relationship between intolerance of uncertainty and college student burnout, and the moderated mediation effect of self-compassion in this path. For this purpose, an online survey was conducted for college student in South Korea, and 311 people’s data were collected. The data were analyzed by using SPSS 26.0 and Spss Process macro 4.1. The result were as follows: First, the mediation effect of experiential avoidance on the relationship between intolerance of uncertainty and college student burnout was significant. Second, the significant moderation effect of self-compassion on the relationship between intolerance of uncertainty and experiential avoidance was found. Finally, Self-compassion moderated the mediating effect of intolerance of uncertainty on college student burnout through experiential avoidance. It suggest that self-compassion can alleviate the path that intolerance of uncertainty on college student burnout through experiential avoidance. Based in these results, the implication and limitation of this study and suggestion for future research are discussed.
