Employee productivity is one of the important factors that contribute to the sustainable development of a company, and understanding the mechanisms of its influence is key. This paper empirically analyzes the effects of abusive supervision and cyberloafing on employee productivity based on a sample of 305 employees. The results of the study show that both abusive supervision and cyberloafing have a significant negative effect on employee productivity, and cyberloafing has a partial mediating effect between abusive supervision and employee productivity, which proves that abusive supervision by leaders has a negative effect on employees and the development of the company.
Based on this, focusing on the development of interpersonal relationships between leaders and employees is the key to creating a good working atmosphere. At the same time, this paper verifies that cyberloafing is an important mediating factor, which provides a valuable basis for subsequent research.
