포스트드라마적 연극』의 이념과 구성에 대한 들뢰즈주의적 독해 = A Deleuzean Reading of Postdramatic Theater of Hans-Thies Lehmann

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 한스-티스 레만의 『포스트드라마적 연극』의 이념과 구성에 대하여 그 내용을 해명하고 그것을 하나의 일관된 이론으로서 가능하게 만드는 하나의 정합적 독해를 들뢰즈주의적 방식으로 제시함을 목표로 한다. 레만의 이론은 지난 20여 년 동안 국내외의 연극 이론과 실천 환경에서 굉장히 빈번하게 인용되어 왔지만, 일견 난삽하게 보이는 구성으로 인해 정작 그 내용 자체가 명쾌하게 해명되지 못했다. 이에 본 연구는 들뢰즈주의적 사유를 하나의 렌즈로서 제시하여 그것을 독해해 나간다. 들뢰즈의 철학은 재현을 비판하면서 ‘기관 없는 신체’를 중핵으로 삼은 일종의 연극론적 형이상학으로도 읽힐 수 있는데, ‘초월론적 경험론’이라고 불리는 들뢰즈의 기획을 참조해볼 때 『포스트드라마적 연극』은 이론적 대립항을 제시하고 역사를 새롭게 재구성하며 현실에 존재하는 다양한 연극적 시도들을 연결접속하는 리좀적 이론으로서 성립한다고 볼 수 있을 것이다. 『포스트드라마적 연극』의 이념과 지향, 구성에 집중하는 본 연구는 비록 거시적인 시야만을 가지지만, 향후 해당 이론의 요소들에 대한 개별적 연구로, 또 들뢰즈의 연극 이론에 대한 일반론적 연구로 발전될 수 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims to elucidate the intention and organization of Hans-Ties Lehmann's Postdramatic Theater in a Deleuzean manner in order to provide a coherent reading that makes it possible as a comprehensive theory. For the past two decades, Lehmann's theory of postdramatic theater has been cited very frequently, but due to its seemingly esoteric composition, its contents have not been clearly elucidated. Therefore, this study presents Deleuzean thought as a lens through which to read it. Deleuze's philosophy can also be read as a kind of theatrical metaphysics that criticizes representation taking the 'body without organs' as its core, and when referring to Deleuze's project called 'transcendental empiricism', it can be said that postdramatic theater theory is established as a rhyzomatic theory that presents theoretical antagonisms, reconstructs history anew, and connects various theatrical attempts in the present.
