<AbsText> GREAT AMERICAN TROUT-- Mr A. W. Rixon, 37, St. Charles-square, Notting Hill, kindly sends us a cutting from a Washington newspaper giving an illustration and account of a great trout caught by one of his sons, Mr T. F. Rixon, in Lake Crescent in June last. It weighed 23lb., was 35½in. long, and had a girth of 24in. The previous biggest trout from the lake is stated to have weighed 18lb. What lure Mr Rixon was using does not appear but the fish only yielded "after a terrific struggle, during which the fisherman sprained his finger." </AbsText>
