빅데이터를 이용한 제주관광산업생산지수 개발 연구 = A Study on the Development of Jeju Tourism Industry Production Index Using Big Data

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In this paper, the Jeju Tourism Industry Production Index, which can represent the production trend of the Jeju tourism industry, was developed, and the constant index was calculated as of 2020 using big data. The classification system of the Jeju tourism industry was defined into 33 representative tourism industries and seven major categories for developing the index. A method of calculating tourism sales, current index, deflator, constant index, and weight using credit evaluation and credit card big data, regional Input-Output table, and CPI Items and Weights by Expenditure Category was designed. The Jeju Tourism Industry Production Index slightly recovered in 2019 from the impact of the 2018 Jeju recession but decreased again due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and rebounded in 2021, reflecting the production trend of the Jeju tourism industry. This paper is significant because it has developed a new method of using big data instead of survey data to calculate the Jeju Tourism Industry Production Index. A problem occurs when using sample survey data to estimate sales by industry. The sample must be replaced when companies are closed or refuse to comply with the survey. The limitations of the sample survey data can be supplemented by the advantage of using big data close to the population.
