설문조사로 본 4·19의 現在的 意義 : 2년전6월항쟁을 몸소 겪은 우리들에게 있어서, 29년전의 4·19혁명은 무엇인가? = Today's Significance of the 4·19 Revolution through an questionaire

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

As you know, the 4·19 Revolution in 1960 is suggested the various meanings to us. Therefore, we have need to study out the objective and detailed contents on the Revolution time after time.
This work surveyed the Korean people viewpoint of the 4·19 by the 344(male 166, female 178, in general) questionaires during about 2th months on 1988-1989 in Seoul.
As the results, main conclusions made in this study are summarized as follows.
Ⅰ) At least, the Korean people have known what is the 4·19 Revolution.
Ⅱ) The political misrule of Syingman Rhee's(李承晩) government, the national economic unbalance, and the unauthentic liquidation of Japan Imperial remnants and so forth, had given the true motivations to the 4·19.
Ⅲ) The main body of the 4·19 was all the Korean people.
Ⅳ) A lofty meaning of the 4·19 was awakened to spiritual consciousness of the Korean people.
In other way, the 4·19 is compared with the 6·10(or June Resistance) in 1987. But a case of the 6·10 is yet too early to endow with an objectivity. And then the author's thought is very careful on the 6·10.
At any time, we say that the 4·19 Revolution is the unfinished and unfaded. With a view of spiritual consciousness of the Korean people opposed to an immorality and an injustice, the 4·19 was clearly fresh and successful revolution.
