The poetics of Nongam, Kim Chang-hyup(農巖 金昌協:1651~1708) are main thesis of this study. Nongam’s poetics brought about epochal changes in philosophical and aesthetic understanding at the realms of Korean history concerning Chinese poetry.
I,in order to prove and demonstrate the above phenomena, have analyzed various appraisals and criticisms in Korean culture.
The study, as a results, shows special aspects as follows, Nongam’s poetics have accomplished individualistic Theoy of Expression(表現論) from limy of ’Jae Do’(載道論). Nongam’s concept on ’Seong jung(性情)’ is not a traditional literary Theory of ’Jae Do’(載道論) of 'Seong Jung gi Jeong(性情之正),but a literary view of the Theory of Expression(表現論). Human nature and emotion, therefore, should be understood as ’Seong jung(性情)’ of ’Seong Jung gi Chin(性情之眞)’. Nongam also recognized that ’Seong Jung gi Chin(性情之眞)’ and 'Cheon Ki(天機)’ are immanent in poetry because poetry in which inherent ’Seong jung(性情)’ and ’Cheon Ki(天機)’ are more nature and naive. Naigam regarded as of importance intrinsic aspects rather external aspects according to Nongam's view that poet’s characteristics are easily revealed his nature and naivety. Contents of poem, especially, should be natural in the process of poetic formation Nongam recognized that ’Cheom Chin(天眞)’ as a idiosyncrasy, so ’Cheon Chin(天眞)’ should be immanent in poem to enlarge its values. Poet’s characteristics and his particular language are fully expressed and revealed through,Sil Gyoung(實景)’. Nongam regarded as of importance intrinsic aspects such as ’Seong Jung gi Chin(性情之眞)’ or ’Hak Mun chi Sil(學問之實)’ imstead of external aspects such as phonology or countenance rather external aspects.
In the light of above study, it is conclusion that Nongam have indisputable logic in his
