요양 연주성의 제단기능에 대한 검토 = A Study of Yanzhoucheng in Liaoyang

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In this paper, There is a Koguryo castle named Baekam castle in 30km Lioyang. This Castle has feature that looks like Koguryo castle with white outer wall and five chies. This Castle that is near river and cliff in doccument records now is called Yanzhoucheng in China. However, Yanzhoucheng is not Backam Castle yet, because it is very far from Pyeongyang and most Koguryo Castle was white and harmonized with surroundings. There is a square-shaped altar inside castle and there is a circular space. Koguryo, Baekje and Silla, all three countries had the space and the format for the national offer. Especially Goguryeo is recorded that the priests performed rituals stay in the sky in October. It has a festival format that all citizens participate called the "Dongmaeng". So, This Castle, Yanxhoucheung is perhaps a place to working national ritual because this Castle looks like Kanghwa Chamseongdan, and Lioyang is Pyeongyang that was transferred capital by King Jangsu. Two Castle are both dual structure.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

요양 동쪽 30km지점 등탑현 연주성촌 마을에는 백암성으로 잘 알려진 고구려성이 있다. 이 성은 석회암재질의 성벽 때문에 외벽이 하얗게 보이고 남아 있는 다섯 개의 치로써 고구려성의 특징을 명백히 드러내고 있다. 강을 끼고 있으며 절벽이 있다는 문헌기록과 부합하여 백암성으로 비정되고 있는 이 고구려 고성은 현재 중국에서 연주성이란 이름으로 부르고 있다. 그러나 자치통감의 전쟁기록으로 볼 때 현재의 평양과 상당히 먼 거리에 위치해 있다는 점과 대부분의 고구려 성은 하얀색을 띄며 주변 지세를 최대한 효율적으로 이용하여 축성한 점을 보면 현재 연주성이 백암성임을 확언하기에는 성급하다는 판단이다. 백암에 대한 『요사』의 기록을 보면 “바다-백암-동경(요양)”이 위치한다. 게다가 바다에서부터 15리는 바닷가라는 말인데 현재의 연주성은 “바다-동경(요양)-백암”일 뿐 아니라 그 거리도 바다와는 상당히 떨어져 있다. 또한 이 성의 전체적인 모양이 강화도의 참성단과 매우 흡사하고 가까운 거리에 있는 요양이 고구려 장수왕이 천도했던 평양이라는 연구결과와 맞물려 생각해 본다면 수도근처 국가제의를 행하던 장소일 수도 있다는 가능성을 생각해 볼 수 있다.
