This study has analyzed the beliefs of a Korean native speaker teacher for the guidance of kanji writing by the semi-structured interview and PAC analysis.
As a result of the analysis, the teacher had beliefs from the following three points: 1) a guidance consider the learner`s affective aspects, 2) a belief of Kanji learning, and 3) a teaching style of the single Kanji writing. About the learner`s affective aspects, the teacher was trying to make learners be conscious to write Kanji while taking into consideration the feelings of them who have difficulty with Kanji. Furthermore, the teacher thought that the learning Kanji in Japanese also affected the growth of Sino-Korean words ability in Korean, that it was important to make the learners to write the native japanese words in Kanji. Finally, about the instruction of Kanji by hand writing, it was presumed that the teacher thought it was the scope of his instruction that the learners could acquire the ability to write the discrimination or basic features of Kanji correctly.
