청년 1인가구의 인지된 고립감이 우울 및 주관적 안녕감에 미치는 영향 = The Impact of Perceived Isolation on Depression and Subjective Well-Being among Young Adults Single-Person Households

국문 초록 (Abstract)

사회적 관계는 정신건강에 영향을 미치는 사회적 결정요인으로 보고되어왔다. 그러나 이전까지의 관련한 국내의 연구들은 대부분 노인에 주목하여 홀로 사는 청년들의 사회적 관계와 정신건강의 관계를 살펴본 연구는 찾아보기 어렵다. 이에 본 연구는 청년 1인가구의 인지된 고립감과 우울 및 주관적 안녕감의 관계를 파악하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 본 연구를 위해 2021년 청년사회·경제실태조사를 분석자료로 활용하였으며, 18세~34세인 2,041명의 청년 가운데 1인가구라고 응답한 514명을 연구대상으로 선별하였다. 로지스틱 회귀분석을 사용하였으며, 분석 결과 인지된 고립감이 높을수록 우울 고위험 집단과 주관적 안녕감이 낮은 집단에 속할 확률이 높았다. 이상의 결과를 토대로 청년 1인가구에게 필요한 정신건강 증진 개입방안에 대한 시사점을 제시하였다.

Social relationships have been recognized as a critical determinant of mental health. Nevertheless, prior studies in Korea have predominantly concentrated on the elderly individuals, making it challenging to locate research exploring the link between social relationships and mental health among young adults living independently. Consequently, this study aims to investigate the association between perceived isolation, depression, and subjective well-being among young adults living alone.To conduct this investigation, data from the 2021 Youth Socioeconomic Survey were utilized, and 514 young adults aged 18~34, who indicated they resided in single-person households, were selected as the study's participants. Logistic regression analysis was employed to assess the data, revealing that a higher level of perceived isolation was associated with an increased likelihood of belonging to a high-risk group for depression as well as a group experiencing low subjective well-being. These findings underscore the need for mental health promotion interventions tailored to young adults living alone.
