Q방법론을 활용한 평생교육에 대한 성인학습자의 인식 유형 분석

Lifelong education in Korea is positioned in various ideologies. The meaning of lifelong education can be identified differently depending on the perspective of definition, purpose, responsibility, and subject : Thus, this study aims to examine how adult learners engaging in lifelong education perceive it and how various factors associated with lifelong education are perceived by them (adult learners) find its purpose and meaning in check regular citizens’ level of consent for national-level understanding. I have analyzed how the perceptions of lifelong education among adult learners are patterned and classified according to the conceptual factors of lifelong education (definition, purpose, responsibility and subject) and how adult learners identify those individual conceptual factors based on the Q methodology.
The study has identified five different types of perception. Type1 emphasizes seeking the meaning of life throughout one’s lifetime. Type 2 emphasizes personal responsibility for integrated education throughout one’s lifetime. Type 3 emphasizes the education in pursuit of purpose (value). Type 4 emphasizes personal responsibility for pursuit of the meaning of life. Finally, Type 5 emphasizes the public responsibility for the pursuit of the meaning of life. seeking the value close to the learning society theory that seeks a meaningful life as the purpose of education, the issue of responsibility tended to be perceived as the check and cooperation relationship between the public and private goods, and humans have voluntary learning capability and implied learning goals.
