2023순천만국제정원박람회 참여정원의 색채 이미지 분석 = An Analysis of Color Image of Participation Gardens in the 2023 Suncheon Bay International Garden Exposition

국문 초록 (Abstract)

색은 공간 지각에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 시각 요소로 특히 정원에서는 단순한 장식을 넘어 방문자와 감성적으로 소통함으로써 정원의 전반적인 이미지를 결정하고 만족도를 높이는데 기여한다. 본 연구는 2023순천만국제정원박람회순천만 가든쇼 참여정원 30개소를 대상으로 한국표준색 색채분석(Korean Standard Color Analysis, KSCA)과 I.R.I 이미지 스케일 (Image Scale)을 활용하여 색채 정보와 감성 이미지를 정량화하여 실증적으로 분석하였다. 주요 연구 결과, 색채분석에서는 무채색을 제외한 220색이 추출되었으며, 이중 Green Yellow 계열이 가장 높게 나타났다. 특히 실외정원에서는 Green Yellow 계열과 Yellow 계열 색상의 비중이 상대적으로 높았고, 중명도․저채도 색채가 우세하게나타났다. 실내 정원에서는 Green Yellow 계열과 Purple Blue 계열의 색상이 비중이 우세하고, 중명도․중채도 색채가높았다. I.R.I 이미지 분석에서는 공통으로 ‘딱딱한’ 영역과 ‘정적인’ 영역에 분포하였으며, 특히 실외 정원은 ‘자유주제를중심으로 정원을 구성함으로써 자연적 요소 중심의 조형미와 소재를 적용하고, 녹색 계열이 색상이 주된 역할을 하면서전반적으로 점잖고, 고상하며, 편안함과 안정감을 유도하는 이미지의 색채가 적용된 것으로 판단된다. 반면 실내 정원은’나만의 정원’을 주제로 정적인 이미지와 더불어 동적인 이미지의 색채가 함께 나타났는데, 이는 작가의 개성과 더불어한정된 실내 공간의 용도에 따라 자연적 요소 외에도 다양한 인공 시설물이 결합한 결과로 해석된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study analyzed color image by using the Korean Standard Color Analysis (KSCA) and the I.R.I Image Scale, targeting 30 gardens participating in the Suncheon Bay Garden Show among the exhibition contents of the 2023 Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo. As a major research result, a total of 220 colors were derived from the color analysis of the participating gardens, and the Green Yellow series accounted for the largest proportion. In particular, in the outdoor garden, the colors of Green Yellow and Yellow, as well as the colors of medium brightness and low chroma, were dominant. In the indoor garden, the colors of Green Yellow and Purple Blue, and the colors of medium brightness and medium chroma were mainly extracted. In the I.R.I. image analysis, both outdoor and indoor gardens were mainly distributed in the areas of ‘hard’ and ‘static’. In particular, the outdoor gardens were interpreted as reflecting the color image that emphasizes nature-centered formative beauty by using natural materials for ‘Free Subject’ and induces psychological comfort and stability along with static elements as the green series takes center stage. The indoor gardens, with the theme of ‘My Own Garden’, static and dynamic elements appeared together as a result of reflecting the artist’s personality. This was interpreted as deriving a combined image of nature and artificiality as various facilities other than plant elements were used according to the purpose of the limited indoor space.
