성인애착이 연인관계 만족도에 미치는 영향 : 정서인식 명확성과 자기자비의 순차적 매개효과 = The Influence of Adult Attachment on Romantic Relationship Satisfaction : The Sequential Mediating Effect of Emotional Clarity and Self-Compassion

This study attempted to examine the sequential mediating effect of
emotional clarity and self-compassion on the relationship between adult
attachment and romantic relationship satisfaction. For this purpose, the data
with a total of 353 adults aged between 20s and 40s were analyzed using
SPSS 21.0 and Mplus 7.0. The results of this study are as follows. First,
adult attachment, emotional clarity, self-compassion, and romantic
relationship satisfaction were all significantly correlated. adult
attachment(attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance) were negatively
correlated with emotional clarity, self-compassion, and romantic relationship
satisfaction. Second, adult attachment(attachment anxiety and attachment
avoidance) had a statistically significant negative effect on romantic
relationship satisfaction and emotional clarity. emotional clarity had
significant positive effects on self-compassion. adult attachment(attachment
anxiety and attachment avoidance) had a significant negative effect on
self-compassion. self-compassion had a significant positive effect on
romantic relationship satisfaction and adult attachment(attachment anxiety
and attachment avoidance) had a significant negative effect on romantic
relationship satisfaction. But, emotional clarity had not a statistically
significant effect on romantic relationship satisfaction. Third, adult
attachment(attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance) influenced
romantic relationship satisfaction by the mediation of emotional clarity and
self-compassion. This indicated that the higher adult attachment(attachment
anxiety and attachment avoidance), the lower the level of emotional clarity,
and the lower emotional clarity decreased self-compassion. This path
would deepen the problem of romantic relations. This research suggests
that various factors influenced romantic relationship satisfaction and further
verified the path that adult attachment leads to romantic relationship
satisfaction through emotional clarity and self-compassion. Finally, this
study ends with suggestions and limitations for future studies.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 성인애착과 연인관계 만족도 간의 관계에서 정서인식 명확성과
자기자비가 순차적인 매개효과를 보이는지에 대해 검증하고자 하였다. 이를
위해 20-40대 이상의 성인 남녀에게 온라인 설문지를 사용하여 연구 자료를
수집하였으며 총 353명의 자료를 분석에 사용하였다.
연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성인애착, 정서인식 명확성, 자
기자비, 연인관계 만족도 간의 관련성에 대해 살펴본 결과 모두 유의한 상관
이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 성인애착(애착불안, 애착회피)은 정서인식 명확
성, 자기자비, 연인관계 만족도와 모두 부적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 구조적 관계
검증을 실시하여 살펴본 결과 애착불안과 애착회피는 연인관계 만족도와 정서
인식명확성에 부적인 영향을 미쳤다. 또한, 정서인식 명확성은 자기자비 수준
에 정적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 애착불안과 애착회피는 자기자비 수준에 부적인
영향을 미쳤다. 자기자비는 연인관계 만족도에 정적인 영향을 애착불안, 애착
회피는 연인관계 만족도에 부적인 영향을 미쳤으나 정서인식 명확성이 연인관
계 만족도에 미치는 영향은 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 셋째, 성인애착은 정
서인식 명확성과 자기자비를 순차적으로 매개하여 연인관계 만족도에 영향을
미쳤다. 이는 애착불안과 애착회피가 높을수록 정서인식 명확성 수준이 낮아지
고, 낮은 수준의 정서인식 명확성은 자기자비를 낮춰 결과적으로 연인관계 만족
도가 낮아진다는 것을 의미한다.
본 연구는 연인관계 만족도에 영향을 미치는 여러 요인들에 대해 종합적으
로 살펴보고 성인애착이 정서인식 명확성과 자기자비를 매개로 하여 연인관계
만족도로 이행되는 경로를 실증적으로 검증하였다는 데 의의가 있다. 이와 같
은 연구결과를 바탕으로 후속연구에 대한 시사점과 상담실제에 대해 논하였다
