예능프로그램의 포맷과 스토리텔링 연구 = A study on the Format and Storytelling of Entertainment Program - Focusing on the Format & contents of 『The Mureupark-Dosa』 of MBC

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 고에서 논구하고자 하는 것은 예능프로그램이면서도 형식을 달리하여 토크쇼 형태로 전개되고 있는, 그리고 일반적인 토크쇼와도 차별화가 뚜렷한 〈무릎팍 도사〉의 형식과 내용을 살펴보는데 있다. 그것은 오락성을 추구하고 있기는 하지만 완전히 가볍거나 저질스럽지 않고, 교훈과 감동을 주려고 노력하지만 거기에 완전히 치우치지 않는 것 즉, 이 두 가지 요소가 어떻게 균형을 유지하면서 프로그램의 성격이 결정되는가를 살펴보는 것이다. 따라서, 본고의 논거를 구하기 위해서 예능프로그램의 오락성과 일반적인 토크쇼의 교훈성을 동시에 추구하는 〈무릎팍 도사〉의 포맷을 살펴보고 유형별로 스토리텔링이 어떻게 달라지는지를 알아보려고 한다. 구체적으로는 첫회부터 최근까지 일관되게 보여주고 있는 형식 측면의 분석과 내용 측면의 분석으로 구분하고자 한다. 형식 측면에서는 세트 구성, 진행자의 역할과 기능, 음악과 자막처리 등을 살펴보고 내용과 관련해서는 유형별 스토리텔링을 궁금증 해소형, 교훈과 감동형, 토론형, 에피소드 나열형 등으로 구분하여 파악한다. 대체적으로 연예인이 출연한 경우는 과거의 사생활 등에 관한 궁금증 해소형이 많고, 반면에 전문예술가 집단과 체육인 등에서는 목표에 도전하는 과정에서 생기는 교훈과 감동형이 많은 것이 특징이다. 또한 방송인이나 기타 출연자와 관련한 스토리텔링의 특징은 토론형이나 에피소드나열형이 주를 이루고 있다. 결론적으로 〈무릎팍 도사〉는 예능프로그램으로 분류되는 한계에도 불구하고 결코 가볍고 질이 낮은 내용으로 구성되는 것이 아니라 시청자들에게 웃음과 재미, 교훈과 감동이라는 양 측면을 적절하게 조화시켜 균형을 유지함으로써 성공적인 프로그램으로 자리매김하고 있다는 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This article discusses forms and contents of a television program ‘Mureupark-Dosa’ which is different distinctly from general talk shows and makes a new development, being unlike in styles of other entertainment shows. It means the paper shows a procedure to set the characteristics of the program, balancing two factors. One is that the show aims for being entertaining but is not careless or frivolous. Another factor is that the show tries to make an inspiration and give a lesson, but is not too serious. Therefore, the purpose of the article is an analysis of the formation of ‘Mureupark-Dosa’ which searches for being entertaining and moral. In addition to the purpose, the article analyzes some structural changes of each stories of the show. Specifically, it includes formal and substantial formations that are consistently displayed from the first episode of the program to the recent episode. In the view of forms, it examines an organization of a studio set, roles and functions of the MC, background music, and subtitle, meanwhile it considers types of stories as solving curiosities, impressions and lessons, discussions, and arranging episodes in the view of contents. Mostly entertainers talk about their individual lives in the past for solving some curiosities. On the other hand, artists and athletes express impressive lessons comes from procedures of challenging to achieve goals. Moreover, other panelists related to the broadcasting industries talk about real experiences. Consequently, ‘Mureupark-Dosa’ is a successful program that is harmonious with making the viewers laugh and giving them deep thoughts, though it is classified as an entertainment program.
