스마트 폰 환경에서의 웹사이트 이용 시 오류 메시지 제시 시점에 대한 연구 = A Study on Error-message Presentation methods in Smart Phone

국문 초록 (Abstract)

최근 스마트 폰을 이용한 웹 서비스 이용이 보편화됨에 따라 모바일 웹 서비스에 대한 사용성 문제도 주요한 이슈로 떠오르고 있다. 웹사이트의 회원가입, 온라인 쇼핑몰의 상품 구매, 온라인 설문 조사 등과 같은 프로세스의 입력 폼을 이용할 때 사용자는 종종 오류 메시지를 경험하게 된다. 사용자가 오류 메시지를 경험할 때, 어떤 시점에서 유저의 실수를 알려야 부정적인 감정을 최소화하는가, 어떤 형태로 유저의 실수를 알려야 부정적인 감정을 최소화하는가에 대한 질문은 사용성과 관련이 있다. 본 연구에서는 스마트 폰 환경에서의 오류메시지 제시 시점을 세 가지로 분류하고 그에 따른 사용성을 비교하는 실험을 실시하였다. 실험결과 즉각적인 피드백 이 제시되는 경우 사용성과 만족도가 가장 높은 것으로 나타났고 이는 스마트 폰 환경을 고려한 웹 사이트 제작 가이드라인으로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Recently, with the generalization on the use of web services by smart phones, usability problems related with mobile web service is becoming an issue. Users frequently experience error message that are related with the input form on the process of sign- in on websites, online shopping product purchase and, online questionnaires. When users experience error message, it is possible to see relationship between usability and how and when the message it shown. For example, to minimize negative effect on users, it is important to know in what moment it is adequate to show the message telling the user their mistake and in which form. Therefore, in this research we realized a usability comparison experiment that allows knowing the moment and method to show to the users the error message in smart phone environment. The result obtained from the experiment showed that usability and satisfaction where higher when it was in embodied form with immediate feedback, and this allows to creators of web sites to take into account when creating web sites for smart phone use environment.
