This study aimed to investigate how Psychological Skills Training (PST) influences the development of sport values among Hapkido instructors. The study targeted instructors affiliated with the Hapkido Association in J City and implemented an eight-session PST program. A single-case study design was employed, integrating both quantitative and qualitative analyses. Quantitative data were analyzed using SPSS 29.0, with a significance level set at p < .05. Qualitative data collected through semi-structured questionnaires and interviews were systematically analyzed with expert consultation. The results indicated that PST significantly enhanced participants’ psychological skills, including confidence, concentration, goal setting, team cohesion, imagery, willpower, and anxiety regulation. In addition, positive changes were observed across various sports value domains, such as economic, physical, moral, social, recreational, and aesthetic values. These findings suggest that PST contributes not only to performance improvement but also to strengthening instructors’ psychological competence and fostering a value-centered coaching philosophy. In conclusion, PST can serve as an effective intervention for promoting the personal growth and professional development of Hapkido instructors. Future research should consider expanding the sample and conducting longitudinal studies to further investigate the sustained effects of PST.
