이해중심 교육과정에 기반한 국어과 의사소통 역량 단원 실행 연구: 생성형 AI를 활용한 '토의하기' 중심으로 = Action Research on Enhancing Korean Language Education Communicative Competency based on Understanding by Design: Focusing on Utilizing Generative AI for ‘Discussing’

국문 초록 (Abstract)

목적 본 연구는 생성형 AI를 활용한 ‘토의하기’ 중심으로, 이해중심 교육과정에 기반한 국어과 의사소통 역량 단원 실행을 목적으로 한다.
방법 이해중심 교육과정의 특징, 토의의 개념과 절차, 토의를 위한 생성형 AI 활용, 국어 교과서 토의 단원의 비판적 고찰, 국어과 의사소통 역량 기반 단원 구조화 등의 내용을 살피며 이론적 배경을 형성하였다. 이어서 ADDIE 모형에 근거한 연구 절차 수립, 실행 모형 구성, 측정 도구 선정, 연구 집단 구성 및 효과성 검증 계획 수립 후 유정오(2023)에서 개발한 단원 설계(안)을 적용하며 본 연구를 진행하였다.
결과 Willcoxon 부호순위 검정을 활용하여 연구 집단에 대한 ‘의사소통 역량’ 사전-사후 측정 결과, 전체 하위 요소에서 연구 집단 의 ‘의사소통 역량’이 유의하게 향상하였음을 확인하였다. 분석적 루브릭을 활용한 토의 성찰 및 학습자 포트폴리오 분석 결과, 포용 성과 주도성을 바탕으로 생성형 AI를 활용한 토의 활동을 수행하며, 연구 집단의 의사소통 역량과 토의 능력이 긍정적으로 향상하였 음을 확인하였다.
결론 본 연구가 미래 교육 환경 변화에 대응하기 위한 국어과의 역할에 시사점을 주고, 역량 중심 국어 교육 연구 및 실천에 보탬이 되기를 기대한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Objectives This study aims to implement the unit of Korean Language Education Communicative Competency, focusing on discussions using generative AI.
Methods This study formed a theoretical background by examining the characteristics of understanding by design, the concept and process of discussions, the utilization of generative AI for discussions, Critical Reflection on the Discussion Unit in the Korean Language Textbook, and the structuring of units based on Korean Language Education Communicative Competency. After establishing a research procedure based on the ADDIE model, constructing an implementation model, selecting measurement tools, organizing a research group, and establishing a plan for effectiveness verification, this study was conducted by applying the unit design developed by Ryu (2023).
Results Utilizing the Wilcoxon signed-rank test, the study confirms a significant improvement in the study group's communicative competency in all sub-factors from pre-test to post-test. Through reflective discussions and analysis of learner portfolios using analytical rubrics, it is confirmed that by engaging in discussion activities utilizing generative AI based on inclusiveness and initiative, the communicative competency and discussion skills of the research group have positively improved.
Conclusions Hopefully, this study will have implications for the role of Korean Language Education to respond to changes in the future educational environment and contribute to the research and practice of competency-based Korean language education.
