사회복지사의 사전의료계획(Advance Care Planning)태도에 미치는 영향연구 = Factors Influencing the Attitudes of Social Work Professionals toward Advance Care Planning

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study examines the attitudes of social work professionals toward advance care planning and explores factors that influence them. A total of 246 social work professionals in the areas of Seoul and the Kyunggi region completed this structured survey. Results indicated that these social work professionals tend to hold positive attitudes toward advance care planning in general. These attitudes were positively associated with favorable opinions of hospice philosophy, non-biased perspectives on the cultural value of hospice care, higher levels of comfort with death and dying discussions, and greater emphasis on the disclosure of the terminal disease to the patient. This study highlights the need for a practical and professional approach to emphasizing self-determination in the course of end-of-life care decision-making and emphasizes the role of social work in advance care planning. Also, it suggests the need for recognizing and assessing the patient`s preference toward being told the truth about the disease.
