The study aimed to explore social workers' subjective perceptions of the 4th Industrial Revolution. A survey using the Q method was conducted targeting 31 social workers working at welfare centers, as a result, identifying three distinct types among respondents. Type 1 is the ‘Proactive Responsive Type’. The active involvement of individual social workers, as well as social welfare institutions, government, and local authorities, is essential for effective response.to address the challenges posed by the 4th Industrial Revolution. Type 2 is the ‘Change-averse Type’. The type that expresses concerns abour the difficulties in adaption to the changes brought by the 4th industrial Revolution and emphasizes the need to pay more attention to vulnerable and marginalized groups is often referred to as advocating for increased focus on vulnerable populations. Type 3 is the‘Site-focused improvement-oriented Type’which recognizes the urgency of addressing current and potential issues stemming from the 4th Industrial Revolution, emphasizing the need for immediate action to enhance the present situation. Based on these findings, tailored improvement strategies were sought to respond to the accelerating changes brought about by the 4th Industrial Revolution in the social welfare domain.
