자회사형 장애인 표준사업장 ‘루아 오케스트라’에 관한 문화기술지 = Ethnography on the ‘Rua Orchestra’, a Subsidiary-Type Standard Workplace for Persons with Disabilities

국문 초록 (Abstract)

연구목적: 이 연구의 목적은 문화·예술 분야의 자회사형 표준사업장 루아 오케스트라를 살펴봄으로써, 창단 과정과 구성원의 삶을 통한 문화를 이해하는 데 있다. 연구방법: 이를 위해 문화기술지 연구 방법을 적용하였으며, 참여관찰, 심층 면담, 현장자료 등을 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 서로 다른 세계에 사는 사람들이 발달장애인과 함께 음악을 해보고자 루아 오케스트라의 서곡이 시작되었다. 둘째, 루아 오케스트라의 하모니는 구성원 간의 협력과 갈등의 과정, 그리고 제도적 어려움과 같은 불협화음을 이겨냄으로써 가능하였다. 셋째, 루아 오케스트라는 앙상블을 이루게 되면서 그들의 공연을 찾는 사람들이 많아졌으며, 루아만의 ‘음악 만들기’라는 새로운 목표에 도전해 나가고 있다. 시사점: 이 연구는 발달장애인에게 제조업 기반의 단순 업무가 주된 직무의 형태라는 편견을 깨고, 문화·예술 분야에서 직업인으로 살아갈 수 있음을 시사한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to understand culture by examining the subsidiary-type standard workplace for Persons with Disabilities, Lua Orchestra, in the field of culture and arts, focusing on its founding process and the lives of its members. Method: To achieve this, a ethnography method was applied, and data was collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and field data collection. Results: First, the overture of the Lua Orchestra began as people from different worlds came together to make music with individuals with developmental disabilities. Second, the harmony of the Lua Orchestra was made possible by overcoming dissonances such as cooperation and conflict among members, as well as institutional challenges. Third, as the Lua Orchestra formed an ensemble, more people began attending their performances, and they are now challenging themselves with a new goal of creating music unique to Lua. Implications: This study breaks the stereotype that individuals with developmental disabilities are limited to simple tasks based on manufacturing, and suggests that they can live as professionals in the field of culture and arts.
