      The purpose of this study is to suggest teaching methods for effective English listening based on information communication technology in middle-school 1st grade.
      In recent years, the computer technology and the information communication technology(ICT) have developed continuously. So society is experiencing a lot of changes in aspect of knowledge acquisition. Developments in ICT technology mean that a diverse range of study methods are available. These development have also influenced classroom English teaching methods. It has brought a new paradigm to English education and changes traditional English education methods to English education methods utilizing ICT.
      English communication skills that emphasize the importance nowadays, various methods have been developed to improve students' listening skills. To require successful communication in the EFL environments, listening-centered education can be used as the first step toward successful communication. If they are effectively utilized in classroom, it would help improving listening skill as well as speaking, reading and writing. So this study focuses on some listening teaching methods using ICT for improving teacher's techniques especially in the middle school 1st grade classroom environment and proposes the concept, features, necessities, purpose, and advantages of effective English listening teaching methods using ICT.
      English education using ICT can contact with live, effective language in authentic situations and give a meaningful learning environment to students who don't have much opportunity to meet native speakers. And teacher's role is also important in ICT techniques. Teachers should choose carefully from a selection of ICT materials and plan selective lessons for improving their students' English ability level. Because of this reasons, English listening education methods utilizing ICT can help students develop and improve their English listening comprehension by using ICT's effective teaching and learning techniques. Therefore, continuous studies of ICT techniques are needed for their active use in the English classroom.
