In this study, the factory test results described in the NOx Technical File and the performance obtained during sailing were compared and analyzed according to the presence or absence of EGR. Since it is the first ship in Korea to introduce EGR, it is considered that the data obtained from sailing will be very helpful in optimizing the two-stroke cycle diesel engine in the future, and the following results were obtained. In the case without EGR, the Pmax was 3 to 8 bar higher than in the case with EGR. in the case of the fuel index, EGR had little effect. Acquiring more data during operation will help develop a two-stroke diesel engine that is more optimized for operation in the future.
